About the Port of Charleston (Cruise Port Information)
The beautiful and historic city of Charleston has served as a shipping destination for over 300 years now. It is, we believe, the perfect spot for a cruise ship destination and origination point.
We'll show you why we think so by exploring our port city from the cruise line's point of view, making clear how Charleston will satisfy the line's operations team, the ship's captain and, most importantly, the passengers.
With the importance of operations in mind, the Port of Charleston has worked continuously to keep pace with modern cruise ship requirements.
We are capable of hosting any size cruise ship, and can cater our operations to fit the needs or desires of any cruise ship operations team. In fact, the QE2, the Norway, the Majesty of the Seas and the Meridian, have all enjoyed our Charleston hospitality.
